I am currently using Mozilla Firefox, but then it is required for me to download a new version of adobe flash player, so i did . i went on the website and clicked it and installed/ downloaded it but it still wont work! I dont' know why. I've tried everything . I even tried uninstalling and installing again , and then kept download and downloading and trying over again , but it wont work . But everything works fine on internet explorers. But im more use to mozilla, so could someone help me and tell me a way to download it ? Thank you ! (:

Download problem?
Hello there,
Hi recently i am facing problem in download. i have a airtel 256Kbps-unlimited connection,when ever i download a file normally through browser( any browser Firefox/ie ) it stops downloading after few percentage.it's applicable to every thing like updating virus def,streaming videos and whatever i download through browser.

I often download multiple part files from Rapidhare. The process of downloading them all though is so tedious. You have to click 3 links just to get to the file. some extra things into the game as usual, However this time my game freezes at "THE SIMS 2" page where everything loads before it directs you to your neighborhoods. I have way too many files with names like
"0000hjk90" to even begin to try to find the things i recently downloaded that may have started the problem. I tried Scanning everything in those files but nothing came up.
its only when i take out my downloads file that i can play
but all my custom items are gone. Please, if anyone knows a way i can delete the one download thats messing up the game without totally tossing everything or even if there is a program to help , Please tell me how I'd appreciate it very much!

I can't download AVG Antivirus,help?

Problem with Download Accelerators or what???
Since one month, I have been downloading a lot from dailymotion.com and youtube.com, using DownloadHelper. Well, DownloadHelper is an add-on in Firefox, which lets you download the streaming videos sort like the grabber. I used to copy the link and download it using DAP. Now, it doesn't accelerates any file at all. DAP asks me for authentication, my usual username and password for those sites doesn't seems to work. The same happened with youtube.com two weeks before dailymotion.com. I am not able to accelerate any downloads from this sites. I even changed my Download Accelerator to IDM, but still doesn't work.
How can I solve this problem??

Luckily, I have real-time scanners before it gets downloaded, and I know which files are fake and real.
Apparently, you can also review/hear/pre play before you download, so if you download music and hear nothing, chances are it is porn, so stop your download, and voila it is gone.
But you should legitly buy the music piece, theres lots of debates of why music should/shouldn't be free, anyways, just my experience.

Luckily, I have real-time scanners before it gets downloaded, and I know which files are fake and real.
Apparently, you can also review/hear/pre play before you download, so if you download music and hear nothing, chances are it is porn, so stop your download, and voila it is gone.
But you should legitly buy the music piece, theres lots of debates of why music should/shouldn't be free, anyways, just my experience.

I recently bought a motokrzr k1m and have downloaded the jumpmusic program but for some reason nothing will download onto my phone. some music says wma? and some says mp3 which i realize it would only download but even that won't go on my phone? are there other programs out there that i can get and download music from? ya, i payed for a subscription to emusic...waste of time...and rhapsody which i found out i need one of "their" mp3 players to put the music on. so are there other sites also that will allow me to download and put music on my motokrzr?

Why Does My Download Speed Drop?
My download speeds runs a constant 2mbps, If I do a speed test before downloading a torrent I will get 2mbps, when I start downloading with pleanty of peers I will get in or around 20kbps download speed at best, Limewire Pro is the same, I get a max of around 10kbps.
I never had this trouble on AOL broadband, just BT broadband, Infact a dial up connection is quicker, What use is broadband for downloading if your speed drops to 20kbps when you try to download a file, encrytpion is on on utorrent but makes no difference

Firefox isn't downloading video pages (like Youtube). It says Download Complete, but the file is gone.?
Firefox isn't download video pages for me, specifically those from Youtube.
When I try to get a video, the Download management screen pops up and it immediately says that the .flv file is downloaded to the Desktop, but it hasn't.
It just says Download Complete - When I try to open the file from the download manager, I get Cannot find file...file has been moved, renamed,deleted...etc
BTW, I had updated to 0.7 and then downgraded down to 0.4

In your firefox, go to Tools%26gt;Options%26gt;Main
Change it to "My Documents"
2. When I download, I choose the option of "Save" instead of "Open"....
that is because "Open" only puts the file on a temporary folder and when you exit the firefox, it is automatically removed.
3. I put a firefox add on called FasterFox Page Download Timer... To monitor my download. Go to mozilla website and search for it.

BTW, Firefox is at 2.0.0.7, not 0.7. Are you really using that old of a version? If so, no telling what the security status of your computer is! Hopefully your 0.7 is shorthand for 2.0.0.7!

They start playing then pause to load some more start again then pause then play a little more then go blank like they are done because it seems they give up on dial up.
I suspect this is happening with downloading them as well, the slow speed we get dropped and so the down loader has no choice but to say complete when there is nothing downloading anymore.

i just got a new computer and it came with windows vista and i tried to download aim 6.5 on it but it won't work. i went to aim.com and tried to download aim 6.5 but when i clicked the button 'download', the page went blank. also, my pop up blocker is not on so that cannot be the reason why i cant download aim. this is annoying and i really neeed to talk to someone online. someone help me PLEASE

I use bit comet, and when i download a movie , it starts downloading just fine, but since it takes so long to download i usually just leave the computer and go do whatever but when im gone a while, and i come back to check up on it has stopped. Is there anything i can do to prevent it from stopping.... and also is there any way that i can make my downloads faster... (I know all about the seeds and leechers) but i hate waiting so long just for a download.............. THanks

The checking system works on a handshaking method of sending a "code" during the downloading to see if all bits "add up" to what has been sent.
The method is called "handshaking" and the code check is called "checksum".
If during the download the "checksum" doesn't jive, the "handshake" attempts to "fix" the download.
BUT that is not your problem, you should have asked, Why did my computer freezed (freeze, froze), or lock up?
1. Maybe you ran out of space on the hard drive.
2. You probably ran out of RAM (Random Access Memory), and as a result the comp. freezed ;-)
If you intend to do more downloading (especially big files), you should consider upgrading to prevent this kind of hassle.
A bigger HDD and/or RAM.

Firefox isn't download video pages for me, specifically those from Youtube.
When I try to get a video, the Download management screen pops up and it immediately says that the .flv file is downloaded to the Desktop, but it hasn't.
It just says Download Complete - When I try to open the file from the download manager, I get Cannot find file...file has been moved, renamed,deleted...etc
BTW, I had updated to 0.7 and then downgraded down to 0.4

Change it to "My Documents"
2. When I download, I choose the option of "Save" instead of "Open"....
that is because "Open" only puts the file on a temporary folder and when you exit the firefox, it is automatically removed.
3. I put a firefox add on called FasterFox Page Download Timer... To monitor my download. Go to mozilla website and search for it.

BTW, Firefox is at 2.0.0.7, not 0.7. Are you really using that old of a version? If so, no telling what the security status of your computer is! Hopefully your 0.7 is shorthand for 2.0.0.7!

They start playing then pause to load some more start again then pause then play a little more then go blank like they are done because it seems they give up on dial up.
I suspect this is happening with downloading them as well, the slow speed we get dropped and so the down loader has no choice but to say complete when there is nothing downloading anymore.

How do I download Adobe flash player?
I am trying to download Adobe flash player so that I am able to watch videos online. I have dial up internet. I click the "download now" button, and then it says: "When you see the installation completion movie above and text below, your installation was successful. The installation should only take a minute or two on a 56k modem." I don't see any movie or text that they are refering to, so why isn't it working? Why Does My Download Speed Drop?
My download speeds runs a constant 2mbps, If I do a speed test before downloading a torrent I will get 2mbps, when I start downloading with pleanty of peers I will get in or around 20kbps download speed at best, Limewire Pro is the same, I get a max of around 10kbps.
I never had this trouble on AOL broadband, just BT broadband, Infact a dial up connection is quicker, What use is broadband for downloading if your speed drops to 20kbps when you try to download a file, encrytpion is on on utorrent but makes no difference

First thing I would check would be the firewall. This does not allow other users to connect to you therefore lowering your share level on the torrent programs and limewire. You need to enable port forwarding on the router that you are using to allow these programs to run at their fastest speed.
And Dial up is in no way faster than how you are downloading now. Not even close.
It may say 56kb/s for dial up, but that is BITS per second not BYTES per second.
Yes, it is weird that they measure connection speed in Bits but your download speed in Bytes.
There are 8 bits to a byte, so you have to divide the total download speed of your connection by 8 to get your maximum download speed.
The max a Dial up modem is able to download at is around 4-5Kilo BYTES per second.

There should be a section in there with port forwarding. Enter the port details and save the changes. Try rebooting the computer and open the software again.

The company that hosts my website has changed their templates and I need to edit my website. To edit it through their templates I'd lose my design because they've changed their templates drastically since I first created my site. I love my website's design and don't want to lose it; I only want to change a little of the text and add a few pages to it. I no longer have access to the original files or design code for my website but I was told by the host's support team that I can download my site, bring it into Dreamweaver, and upload it to an FTP. I know I can download the pictures by simply right click --%26gt; save image but there must be a better way to download my site; do I really have to save it image by image or can I download the whole thing and import it into Dreamweaver? Can I download my layout and use it as a Dreamweaver template?
I'm using Dreamweaver CS3 if that helps.

How to download a webpage?
Download Filezilla - http://filezilla-project.org/download.ph...
Put in your site's ftp address, login and password. Connect to your site.
Download the entire folder structure of the site. (It's like Windows Explorer in 2 panel mode - your computer on the left, your site on the right.) Modify the files you want to modify, leaving them in the folders they were in. Upload the modified files back to your site - to the folders they're in on your computer. (You should always have the latest version of your site on your computer, and on a flash drive or CD or some other 2nd backup medium.)
Connect to your site with your browser and you should see your modified site.
BTW, you don't need Dreamweaver. If that's what you usually use, use it, but don't buy it just to modify your site. NVU - http://www.nvu.com/ - is probably all you need, and it's free.

I'm not sure this will help you with Dreamweaver, but try it out. I generally click on the "File" option at the top left corner of the address bar in my browser and choose "save as" from the option list. Then, I indicate where to save my webpage. What I always get from this method (i'm a 'Firefox' user) once in the destination folder is my webpage link and a folder containing all the constituent elements of that webpage. Maybe these are the elements you want to 'pimp' with your Dreamweaver. I hope it works! if not, sorry.
Reply:all u gotta do is open the template/site page you want then click on file,save page as... then save your page as index or somrthin, but it will say its gonna save it as mht, click the dropdown and select webp-age complete, for vista click page then do the samem, hope it hjelped. its what i do for my site,except i use webdwarf to make it then copy the html to bluevoda then save it, bye!
Reply:In Firefox it is Right CLick - Save Page As..
It will save two files - the index and another that will work together to recreate the webpage if you open it with a web browser. Hope it helps

Is there any way I can speed up the download times for my laptop?
I'm trying to download something right now and the speed is fluctuating between 5kbps and 11kbps. Is there any way to make it go a lot faster, ie, so the download would be completed in 6 hours (when I get up?)
I'm on wireless internet in my bedroom, and the router is downstairs, I'd say no more that 10ft away from me, although there is 2 walls and my door between us, lmao!!! We don't even have the cable the plug the computer into the modem.
So yeah. Are there any ways that I can increase the speed, and make the download complete faster?

Try downloads from other sites to see if they are a lot faster - if so, the problem is not with your computer or ISP - it is the far end server running slowly.

Download speed problem?
I used to download at really high speed (1 Mb/s using Internet Download Manager).
But lately there's been something strange happening.
I'm downloading at 1mb second for about a minute but then it slows down to a crawl to 5 kb/s.
I pause my download, wait for a minute and then once again get great speed but drop to a crawl after a minute or so.
It didn't use to do this so I'm thinking it's got something to do with the server provided by the hotel.
Anyways, are there any ways to fix this? How can I bypass this?

A good download manager for multiple links?
I'm wanting to download a large file off the internet via my Rapidshare account. The only problem is that this software is split into 80 different .rar's meaning 80 different links!
I personally find it quite boring copying and pasting all those links. Is there a download manager which is able to automatically see those links and download them?
For example, the links are set out like so
www.www.com/file.rar1
www.www.com/file.rar2
www.www.com/file.rar3
It'd be nice if I could just highlight those links all at once and then just click "ctrl+c" to copy them then the download manager realises I want to download them.
Really hope there is something like this.

My computer cant download any file from the internet at all? is it a virus??
regardless of what it is or where it is (a torrent, email attachment, rar, any file) i cant seem to download it
the whole save or open window comes up, and ive tried both for everything
and it will always actually take the time to download
but once it reaches 100%, (and i did not check the box saying to close window when finished), the window just disappears, like i actually checked the box
it's listed in my recent items, just like i've downloaded it, but when i try to access it, windows has to start searching for it, meaning it's not there
i searched for it myself, and it does not show up where i said for it to download, and even when i search
ive tried dling it to my desktop, a different directory, a different drive, and an external drive, but the same thing keeps happening.
there are no other windows that pop up saying there's an error or anything - it's like i download but it doesn't actually download
it's really frustrating

Mozilla Firefox Download Helper Help?
Recently I started to use Mozilla Firefox and use the download helper to download flv files that could be converted into music. Lately, though, any time I try to download an flv file, it only downloads 28 bytes, every single time. It will never download the full flv file. Why?? Does anybody know how to fix it?? PLEASE help!

Reply:Probably safe. You might check with Adobe though. They might still have old versions that you can get. Either way, you will still have to license it.
Also, CS3 is a MUCH better product than 8. I have both, but use CS3 exclusively now.
