I don't want to do anything illegal, so I'm making sure.
I know download.com is a reputable site, but the fact that the downloads are free makes me hesitant.
I also know that sometimes bands and singers allow free downloads in order to promote their music.
The only music download site that I know are legal are itunes and amazon (I usually use the Pepsi points I collect to download music on amazon).
So, is download.com okay?
Has anyone tried it?
Is it legal to download music off download.com?
Just because a song is free from a major artist, it doesn't mean that it is illegal. Just look at iTunes. They offer free music, some from major artists. It all depends on the contract agreement between the distributors and the artist. Anything from download.com is legal, so there is nothing to worry about.
Reply:FlickrMusic offer so much in the way of music and service that it is second to none! I would highly recommend http://www.flickrmusic.com to any one who needs almost free music files not only for the selection available, but because of the customer service that they are providing.
Reply:download.com is mostly for self published music so yes for the most part its legal if the people posting music play by the rules but you really don't have any way of knowing for sure.
Reply:Most free music from major artists is never free, unless it's illegal.
Reply:I have never heard of download.com but when downloads are free its illegal. keep using those pepsi points
Reply:yes if you get music free usually its illigal
Reply:i think its illegal.... but i try at here www.search-songs.com , im not sure its illegal or not for this
