I need a program that let me resume downloading a file without the need to download it again from the begining if I stop the download in the first place.
like if I'm downloading a 1 GB file and just save 500 MB and I want to stop and continue the download later?
any recommendations??

Download accelerator is good. But I use Bitcomet cause with it I can do what you asked, but it is also a torrent client, so 2 in one, i guess it's not bad. It also has preview option, which can be usefull when it comes to videos and music files.
Reply:Um yah...dont stop the downloading...If you download the same thing in the same file from the internet or a cd-rom. I will not "pick-up" were you left off, it will check over everything that you have downloaded of that file in a fraction of the time that it took before, plus it will resume what is going on next. IT SHOULD. Some files if cancled gets sent to a recycled bin because the program is not complete. But there are many softwares that allow a task to stop and start whenever you want it to.
